Jessica Desmond is a NYC/NJ-based fitness professional who has worked in the health and fitness industries for over 15 years. She is a certified personal trainer through the American Council of Exercise (ACE), and she also holds certifications in Kettlebell Athletics, Corrective Exercise, TRX Suspension Training, Sport-Specific Training, IMX Pilates, Functional Training, and Pre/Post Natal Fitness. She is currently working towards her Medical Exercise Specialist (MES) certification. Her belief that “Health is Life’s Priority” has been a driving force throughout her career, which has included a diversity of clientele: professional athletes, celebrities, models, seniors, mothers/mothers-to-be, and those needing post-rehab and functional training programs. She has received positive recognition from both clients and colleagues for facilitating her clients in achieving results and reaching their individual goals.

Growing up in the beach town of Asbury Park, New Jersey, Jessica discovered her passion for the outdoors at an early age.  She spent her days swimming, surfing, hiking, biking, running, and skateboarding. Embracing the outdoors plays a big part in how she stays fit, and she supports getting outside of the gym whenever possible. Jessica earned a B.A. in Dance and Media Studies from CUNY Hunter College, and she performed as a dancer throughout New York City and in various cities around the world like Prague and Mexico City to name a few.  She was honored with an award for her choreography in “Dimensions Variable.”

While pursuing her degree at Hunter, Jessica began teaching children’s creative movement at Elite Fitness and Training in Brooklyn, and later became their Fitness Manager and Pilates instructor. As she transitioned from working with children to adults, she realized the valuable impact she could have on people’s lives as a fitness professional.  She consequently turned her focus towards achieving a wider range of certifications in order to reach as many people as possible. After working at Equinox Soho as a Senior Coach for several years and Physical Equilibrium in NYC, Jessica is currently coaching privately and teaching Stand Up Paddle board in the Asbury Park, NJ, at Deal Lake Dock.
