Jessica Desmond is a NYC/NJ-based fitness and wellness professional whose work bridges strength, mindfulness, and creative expression. With over 23 years in the health and fitness industry, she believes that true wellness happens when the body, mind, and energy system are aligned.
Certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Jessica holds advanced certifications in Kettlebell Athletics, Corrective Exercise, TRX Suspension Training, Sport-Specific Training, IMX Pilates, Functional Training, and Pre/Post Natal Fitness, her Medical Exercise Specialist (MES) certification. Her diverse background allows her to support everyone from professional athletes and performers to seniors, mothers, and those navigating post-rehabilitation.
For the past six years, Jessica has brought mindfulness directly into schools across Monmouth County, teaching meditation and breathwork to help students, teachers and parents to cultivate emotional balance, focus, and resilience. Complementing her movement-based work, she has spent the past two years practicing Reiki, guiding clients in aligning their chakra systems and clearing stagnant energy to restore vitality and overall wellness. She views physical training and energy work not as separate practices, but as interconnected pathways toward wholeness.
Jessica currently works privately with clients, teaches chair yoga to elders, and offers classes at Ohana Rising Yoga in Bradley Beach. Her sessions emphasize strength, breath, awareness, and nervous system regulation — empowering clients to feel grounded, strong, and energetically balanced.
Raised in Asbury Park, Jessica’s connection to movement began outdoors — swimming, surfing, hiking, biking, running, and skateboarding along the Jersey Shore. She later earned her B.A. in Dance and Media Studies from CUNY Hunter College and performed throughout New York City and internationally in Prague and Mexico City, receiving an award for her choreography in Dimensions Variable.
Today, Jessica continues to merge her love of movement and art by collaborating with local artists and musicians in Asbury Park to create new movement-based performance art and choreography. She holds a strong belief that art brings community together — and that shared creative expression can be as healing and transformative as any workout or wellness practice.
Through strength training, energy alignment, breathwork, and collaborative art, Jessica’s mission remains the same: to help individuals and communities reconnect to their vitality, creativity, and inner balance.
